Getting started

Updated August 5, 2026

1. Opening an account

  1. Go to memachine.me/signup and start the free trial. A card is taken up front; nothing is charged during the trial.
  2. Checkout runs on our payment provider's page, then drops you back into the app.
  3. You land on a short You're in screen and then on Home.

Signing in later is memachine.me/login. Sign out lives at the bottom of the Billing tab.

2. The tabs

Seven tabs across the bottom (or the side, on a wide screen):

TabWhat is there
HomeThe one next action, plus a map of where you are.
TalkThe conversation with your producer, and everything it has on file about you.
ScriptsThe scripts it wrote for you. Approve, reword, film.
BookingsYour booking page, your calendar, and who booked.
AdsFinished ads, raw footage, and what each ad is doing.
BillingYour plan, the receipt, and support.
SettingsMeta connection, brand colour and logo, calendar credentials.

Publishing does not have its own tab. You reach it from the Ads tab, or from Home when an ad is ready.

3. Home tells you the next thing

Home shows exactly one main action at a time. It is not a dashboard you have to interpret — do the thing it names and come back.

The block at the top of Home is a readout of five lines: you, market, scripts, ads cut, ads live. That is the whole state of your account in five lines.

Below it, Also today lists up to four other places worth going, and Still to film lists any shots you parked for later.

If Home asks for an API key

A card reading The machine needs an API key only appears on self-hosted installs. On a hosted account you will never see it.

4. The order everything happens in

  1. Talk. About twenty minutes out loud with your producer. Every script you ever run comes out of this. How the conversation works
  2. Market. It reads the live ads in your market and finds what nobody is claiming. You do not pick anything. Reading your market report
  3. Scripts. Six at a time, in your words. Approve the ones you will film. Working with scripts
  4. Film. On your phone, with a teleprompter. A-roll is you talking; b-roll is the shot list. How to film
  5. The cut. The machine trims the dead air, drops in your b-roll, burns in captions. Approving and assembling
  6. Publish. Two decisions — where it runs and what you spend a day. Publishing to Meta
  7. What came back. Bookings land on your calendar. Bookings and your calendar

5. What to do on a phone vs a computer

  • Film on your phone. The camera, the teleprompter and the shot list are built for it. Hold the phone upright — vertical is the format.
  • Everything else works on either. The conversation, scripts, publishing and bookings are the same on both.
  • The teleprompter follows your voice on a desktop browser only. On a phone it scrolls on a timer instead, and you can tap it to step forward a line.

6. Two messages you may see

  • Taking you to sign in. — your session ended. Sign in again and you land back where you were.
  • Opening Billing. — the subscription needs attention before that screen will open. See Billing and cancelling.
  • That didn't work — something failed to load. Reload the page; if it repeats, send us the message underneath it from the Billing tab's support box.
